The Hoffman Eells Group CPAs and Abbott Frenyea Russell CPAs announced today the merger of their business operations beginning January 1, 2020. This merger will provide the North Country with an extensive variety of accounting, US and international taxation, business advisory, business coaching and personal financial planning services combined with an extraordinary level of experience. This merger brings together eleven CPAs with more than 250 years of combined experience as well as many other professionals.
The combined firm’s mission is simple: Fuel progress that will make a difference for our people, clients and communities. This is accomplished through a proactive approach to client services rather than simply providing reactive compliance services. That ensures that our clients’ business and personal growth and success continue year after year through planning and consulting.
With offices in Plattsburgh, Lake Placid, Malone and Canton, the expanded business will serve three counties and span a one hundred mile radius while offering an extensive menu of services. Continuing as senior partners of the combined firm will be Lucy W. Carroll, CPA; Nicholas P. Eells, CPA; Stephen Harstedt, Jr., CPA; Douglas L. Hoffman, CPA/MBA; James L. Holmes, CPA; Pamela Laplante; Holly A. Morrow, CPA; newly appointed junior partners, Kristina M. Bennett, CPA; Fernado C. Cause, CPA; and Cheryl Jeror, CPA; and a team of many other CPAs and professionals. The combined firms will continue operations under both names and will retain all present employees except for Patrick K. Russell, CPA, a senior partner who is retiring.
